Varusteleka L4 Operator Cap Baseball Cap - MultiCam

Cap in MultiCam camouflage, with a fit inspired by classic patrol caps, complemented by features designed for tactical applications. The model was developed for security operators, military personnel, uniformed service officers, and users operating in the field.

Thanks to its universal construction, the cap is also suitable for everyday use, walks, trips, outdoor activities, and work requiring effective sun protection. Velcro panels allow its appearance to be matched to the nature of the tasks being performed.

combination of 3 fabrics in a rip-stop weave

The model is made of a material that is a combination of 3 fibres, each of which is responsible for a different performance property of the fabric:

  • 48% cotton - improves wearing comfort, provides softness in contact with the skin, and supports the breathability of the material. This makes the cap well suited for prolonged use.
  • 48% polyamide - increases the durability of the fabric and its resistance to abrasion, tearing, and intensive use. The polyamide fibre helps maintain the durability of the construction during use in the field.
  • 4% elastolefin - complements the structure of the material and affects its performance properties, such as fit, resistance to deformation, and shape retention during wear.

The fabric is sewn in a Rip-Stop weave, whose reinforced structure limits the risk of small tears and mechanical damage becoming larger.

NIR compliant

The fabric and velcro elements of the cap have been developed to reduce their visibility in near-infrared light. As a result, the material does not reflect infrared radiation as intensely as standard fabrics and velcro, which helps reduce the contrast of the cap during observation with night vision.

panel construction with visor, adjustment strap

The model features a classic 6-panel fit with a contoured visor. The crown panels are joined with durable seams, which help maintain the proper shape of the cap during intensive use. The construction fits well on the head and provides protection from the sun.

The visor is equipped with a stiffened construction and finished with multi-row stitching. This solution increases its stability and helps maintain its set profile. At the back of the cap there is an adjustable strap with a buckle. It allows the circumference to be adjusted to the head and stabilises the cap during movement, running, and work.

3 Velcro panels for patches

The model is equipped with 3 velcro panels:

  • front panel measuring 75 x 50 mm
  • rear panel measuring 75 x 50 mm
  • top panel measuring 30 x 20 mm

Velcro panels are used for attaching identification patches, flags, unit emblems, blood group markings, and other accessories equipped with velcro.

6 openings for effective ventilation

In the upper part of the cap there are 6 ventilation openings. They are placed in the crown panels to improve air circulation inside the cap and facilitate the release of excess heat. The openings support ventilation during marching, field work, intense effort, and use in higher temperatures.

multicam camouflage

MultiCam is a state-of-the-art camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by US company Crye Precision in cooperation with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. Its goal was to create a versatile camouflage pattern that is effective in varied terrain and changing environmental conditions. The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colors, creating gradient transitions between shades of green, brown and beige. As a result, it dynamically adapts to the background, adopting shades of green in forested areas or browns and beiges in desert regions - in Central and Eastern European environments, it works particularly well in autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained worldwide recognition and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially adopted by the US Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the earlier Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). The pattern is also available to civilian users, making it a popular choice among military or airsoft enthusiasts.

Rip-Stop feature
Rip-Stop

Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.

NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) feature
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance)
NIR (Near Infrared Reflectance) is a material property of controlled reflection of radiation in the near-infrared (780-2500 nm) range, used primarily in tactical clothing and equipment. NIR-treated fabrics are designed to reduce the thermal emission and reflection of IR radiation, allowing the material's surface temperature to be kept close to ambient. This reduces the risk of detection of the wearer by electronic-optical surveillance systems, including night vision and infrared sensors. NIR technology significantly improves the effectiveness of camouflage in combat and low-light conditions.
