Victorinox Evoke Alox Folding Knife - Silver

EDC (Every Day Carry) folding knife with a blade length of 98.5 mm and Drop-Point profile. The folder is suitable for everyday tasks and outdoor activities. It is equipped with a Back Lock and handle scales made of durable aluminum in silver color. A clip with the option for right or left-sided mounting facilitates carrying.

Forged from stainless steel, the blade offers exceptional resistance to corrosion and retains its sharp edge for extended periods. A Bead Blasted finish delivers a non-reflective matte appearance to the blade’s surface. Strategically placed jimping on the spine allows the thumb to rest securely, providing improved blade control during use.

Drop-Point blade profile, flat grind

Featuring a Drop-Point blade profile, the blade measures 98.5 mm in length and 2.85 mm in thickness. A flat grind covers roughly one-third of the blade's height, forming a smooth cutting edge. The chosen blade geometry delivers excellent strength and enhances resistance to breakage.

thumb stud, Back Lock

The knife is opened using a double-sided thumb stud that can be removed. The blade is locked with a Back Lock mechanism.

Alox handle, steel clip, lanyard hole

Ergonomically contoured Alox handle scales, with an integrated cross guard, are made of anodized aluminum with a non-slip texture. The knife is equipped with a steel spring clip for easy tool transport. A steel lanyard hole is located at the end of the handle for attaching a lanyard or cord.

Bead Blast is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel with a stream of fine ceramic or glass beads under high pressure. It gives the surface a uniform matte, satin-gray appearance without any light reflections. The surface obtained in the sandblasting process is smooth and aesthetic, but due to micro-pores, it may be slightly more susceptible to wear and corrosion if the blade is not properly protected. Nevertheless, Bead Blast is valued for its simplicity, discretion, and masking properties, which is why it is used in EDC, outdoor, and military knives.

Alox is one of Victorinox's most recognizable materials, present in the range since 1957, when the Pioneer model made its debut. In 1961, it was also used in the army knife, produced until 2008, which cemented its reputation as a symbol of durability and quality. The name refers to an aluminum base covered with a protective layer created in the anodizing process, which gives the material high resistance to corrosion and mechanical damage while remaining lightweight. The distinctive texture improves grip and gives the pocket knives a unique look that has made Alox iconic. Production involves several precise stages, from forming and stamping to anodizing, which ensures a hard, aesthetic coating.

    This knife is a work of art - fantastic. The quality of craftsmanship is at the highest possible level - everything is evenly finished, solid material, the blade is beautiful straight out of the box, and of course, it's "Swiss Made". The knife comes in a solid, nicely made package. The back lock is definitely stronger than the popular and widespread liner lock types. A solid and beautiful tool—I think I’ll buy another one.
