Bestech Knives Noctar Folding Knife - OD Green/Satin

A folding EDC (Every Day Carry) knife equipped with a 94.4 mm blade featuring a Drop-Point shape. Crafted from 14C28N stainless steel, the blade ensures durability and reliability. Handle scales are constructed from G10 laminate for enhanced grip. A Crossbar Lock mechanism secures the blade when open. Jimping on the spine provides additional thumb support for precise control.

Polish design

Grzegorz "Kombou" Grabarski stands out as a distinguished Polish knife designer, influenced by pop culture, video games, natural elements, and biomechanics. His approach fuses contemporary aesthetics with futuristic, organic shapes. Previously collaborating with Brrr… Knives, he is now partnered with Bestech Knives, where his creations have achieved global acclaim among collectors.

14C28N stainless steel

Forged from 14C28N stainless steel, the knife blade boasts an optimized chemical composition to deliver exceptional hardness. Well-balanced nitrogen content enhances corrosion resistance and fortifies edge retention. The addition of carbon provides excellent cutting ability, while chromium imparts superior resistance to rust and oxidation.

Drop-Point blade profile, jimping on the spine

Drop-point blade design offers a robust tip, straightforward maintenance, and excellent slicing capabilities. Featuring a blade length of 94.4 mm and a thickness of 3.5 mm, the blade is shaped with a flat grind and boasts a satined finish. Jimping (grooves) along the spine of the blade where the thumb naturally rests enhances blade control during use.

Convenient opening, Crossbar-lock

A thumb notch integrated into the blade enables straightforward one-handed deployment. Enhanced by ceramic ball bearings, blade deployment remains exceptionally smooth, optimizing operational comfort. Secure blade retention is ensured via a sliding Crossbar-Lock mechanism.

Ergonomic G10 laminate handle, steel deep-carry clip

The handle features scales crafted from G10 laminate, a material known for its lightweight properties while offering outstanding resistance to damage, moisture, temperature fluctuations, and the majority of common solvents and acids. Thanks to the ergonomic contouring of the scales and a textured surface, a solid and reliable grip is ensured. For easy and discreet carry, a robust steel deep-carry clip (tip-up, right-side carry) allows secure attachment to a belt or pocket.

14C28N feature
14C28N
14C28N is a martensitic "nitro" stainless steel developed by the Swedish company Sandvik (now Alleima). Its chemical composition has been optimized to achieve high hardness through nitrogen (0.11%) rather than carbon, which maintains corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. The carbon content of 0.62% contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium (14%) ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation. After proper heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 55-62 HRC, which provides an optimal balance between sharpness, strength, and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its fine-grained structure and ease of sharpening, 14C28N is a popular choice for the production of kitchen, EDC, hunting, and tactical knives.
Crossbar Lock feature
Crossbar Lock
Crossbar Lock is the general name of the mechanism used after the Benchmade patent expired in 2018. The design works on the same principle as the Axis Lock - a spring bar moves along the handle and locks the blade in the open position. The differences between manufacturers mainly concern the details of workmanship, materials, and the shape of the switches. The lock is double-sided, easy to use, and extremely popular in modern EDC knives. Thanks to its versatility, it has become the standard for many companies.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
