Bestech Knives Noctar Folding Knife - Mint Green/Black PVD

A compact folding EDC (Every Day Carry) knife featuring a 94.4 mm blade in a Drop-Point configuration. Crafted from 14C28N stainless steel, the blade delivers excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. The handle utilizes durable G10 laminate scales for reliable grip. A robust Crossbar-Lock mechanism secures the blade when open, while jimping along the spine of the blade provides enhanced thumb traction.

Polish design

Grzegorz „Kombou” Grabarski stands out as a distinguished Polish knife designer whose inspirations stem from pop culture, video games, the natural world, and biomechanics, skillfully merging innovative design with futuristic, organic aesthetics. Having worked with Brrr… Knives, he now collaborates with Bestech Knives, where his creations have achieved global acclaim among knife collectors.

14C28N stainless steel

Forged from 14C28N stainless steel, the knife blade features a precisely tuned chemical composition that delivers high hardness. An optimal level of nitrogen ensures excellent corrosion resistance and enhances edge retention. The presence of carbon contributes to superior cutting performance, while chromium guarantees outstanding resistance to rust and oxidation.

Drop-Point blade, flat grind, jimping on the spine

Featuring a Drop-Point blade design, the knife boasts a robust tip, straightforward sharpening, and excellent cutting efficiency. The blade measures 94.4 mm in length with a thickness of 3.5 mm. Equipped with a flat grind, the blade is finished with a black PVD coating, reducing reflections and concealing potential scratches or scuffs acquired during use. Jimping (serrations) is incorporated on the spine of the blade, where the thumb rests, to enhance grip and control during cutting tasks.

Convenient opening, Crossbar-lock mechanism

Featuring a thumb slot in the blade, the knife enables effortless one-handed deployment. The integration of ceramic ball bearings guarantees exceptionally smooth blade action, enhancing operational comfort. Blade lockup is reliably maintained through a sliding CrossBar-Lock mechanism.

Ergonomic handle from G10 laminate, steel deep-carry clip

The handle scales utilize G10 laminate, a material known for its low weight coupled with exceptional resistance to damage, moisture, temperature fluctuations, and the majority of solvents and acids. An ergonomic contour combined with a textured finish guarantees a firm and secure hold. A flexible steel deep-carry clip (tip-up, right carry) enables comfortable carry, easily affixing the knife to a belt or pocket edge.

14C28N feature
14C28N
14C28N is a martensitic "nitro" stainless steel developed by the Swedish company Sandvik (now Alleima). Its chemical composition has been optimized to achieve high hardness through nitrogen (0.11%) rather than carbon, which maintains corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. The carbon content of 0.62% contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium (14%) ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation. After proper heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 55-62 HRC, which provides an optimal balance between sharpness, strength, and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its fine-grained structure and ease of sharpening, 14C28N is a popular choice for the production of kitchen, EDC, hunting, and tactical knives.
Crossbar Lock feature
Crossbar Lock
Crossbar Lock is the general name of the mechanism used after the Benchmade patent expired in 2018. The design works on the same principle as the Axis Lock - a spring bar moves along the handle and locks the blade in the open position. The differences between manufacturers mainly concern the details of workmanship, materials, and the shape of the switches. The lock is double-sided, easy to use, and extremely popular in modern EDC knives. Thanks to its versatility, it has become the standard for many companies.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
PVD - Physical Vapor Deposition feature
PVD - Physical Vapor Deposition
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating is a modern technology for applying ultra-thin layers of metal in a vacuum, which significantly increases the durability of knives. Thanks to this, the blade becomes highly resistant to scratches, abrasion, and corrosion, while gaining a matte surface that reduces glare. This process allows for aesthetic finishes in various colors, from deep black to gold, which do not wear off like classic paint. As a result, the knife retains its great appearance and full functionality even with intensive use.
