Bestech Knives QUQU Aluminum Folding Knife - Olive

Practical folding knife conceived by eight-year-old Gogo, daughter of the co-owner of Bestech Knives. Inspiration for the model came from a cricket. Its final version was developed in partnership with acclaimed knife designer Ostap Hel, who is recognized for his minimalist, modern shapes and outstanding functionality.

Emerging from this remarkable collaboration is a compact folder featuring a lightweight build and a distinctive aesthetic, skillfully blending youthful inventiveness with expert attention to ergonomics and everyday usability.

14C28N stainless steel

The blade is crafted from 14C28N stainless steel, a material engineered by the Swedish manufacturer Sandvik. Its chemical composition is tailored to deliver exceptional hardness. An optimized nitrogen content ensures consistent corrosion resistance while enhancing edge retention. The addition of carbon contributes to superior cutting performance, and the presence of chromium guarantees outstanding resistance to rust and oxidation.

blade with a spear-point profile, smooth cutting edge

Equipped with a blade featuring a Spear-Point profile, the model stands out with its symmetrical design and sharply pointed tip, ensuring accuracy in cutting and piercing tasks. With a blade length of 56 mm and a smooth cutting edge, the tool is highly suitable for daily use and light outdoor applications. A flat grind enhances the blade’s overall cutting performance, minimizes resistance while slicing, and simplifies the sharpening process.

A fuller in the form of a longitudinal groove runs along the blade, contributing to its dynamic visual appeal while optimizing balance and enhancing control during use.

handy handle, spring clip

Featuring a practical handle with a non-slip surface, crafted from lightweight yet robust aluminum alloy. Everyday portability is enhanced by a resilient steel clip, which can be repositioned to the opposite side of the handle for added versatility.

button lock, ball bearing

Deployment of the blade is achieved by pressing a button that disengages the Button Lock mechanism, combined with a swift wrist action. Blade opening is further enhanced through the integration of a ceramic ball bearing on the knife's main pivot.

14C28N feature
14C28N
14C28N is a martensitic "nitro" stainless steel developed by the Swedish company Sandvik (now Alleima). Its chemical composition has been optimized to achieve high hardness through nitrogen (0.11%) rather than carbon, which maintains corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. The carbon content of 0.62% contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium (14%) ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation. After proper heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 55-62 HRC, which provides an optimal balance between sharpness, strength, and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its fine-grained structure and ease of sharpening, 14C28N is a popular choice for the production of kitchen, EDC, hunting, and tactical knives.
Button Lock feature
Button Lock
Button Lock (also known as Plunge Lock) is a locking mechanism in folding knives based on a spring button. When fully opened, the tang enters a notch at the base of the blade and locks it in the working position; when closed, the same element acts as a detent. The design allows for smooth opening and closing with one hand and increases safety, as it does not require the user to place their fingers on the blade line. Thanks to its simplicity and reliability, the Button Lock is often used in EDC knives and collector's models.
Aluminium feature
Aluminium
Aluminum is a lightweight and durable material widely used in knife manufacturing, especially in handles and structural elements. It is characterized by low weight, high corrosion resistance, and high susceptibility to machining and anodizing, which allows for durable, aesthetic surfaces in various colors. Well-chosen aluminum alloys provide adequate rigidity while maintaining low weight, which makes knives more comfortable to carry on a daily basis. In addition, this material is weather-resistant, does not rust, and withstands intensive use well, which is why it is used in tactical knives, EDC knives, and outdoor tools.
