Bestech Knives QUQU G10 Folding Knife - Brown

A handy folding knife designed by eight-year-old Gogo - the daughter of the co-owner of Bestech Knives. The inspiration for this model was a cricket. The tool was refined in collaboration with renowned knife designer Ostap Hel, known for the minimalist, modern forms and high functionality of his designs.

The result of this unusual collaboration is a compact folding knife with a lightweight construction and a unique appearance, combining childlike creativity with a professional approach to ergonomics and practicality.

14C28N stainless steel and satin finishing

The knife blade is made of 14C28N stainless steel, developed by the Swedish company Sandvik. The chemical composition of the steel has been optimized to achieve high hardness. The appropriate nitrogen content ensures corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. Carbon contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation. The blade surface has been finished with a satin finish.

blade with a spear-point profile, smooth cutting edge

This model features a Spear-Point blade, characterized by a symmetrical shape and a pointed tip that facilitates precise cutting and piercing. The 56 mm blade features a smooth cutting edge, making it a practical tool for everyday tasks and light outdoor work. The blade has a flat grind, which ensures good cutting performance, reduces resistance during cutting, and facilitates future sharpening.

Additionally, the blade surface features a fuller in the form of a longitudinal groove, which not only gives the blade a dynamic appearance but, above all, improves its balance, positively affecting control when handling the tool.

handy handle, spring clip

The ergonomic handle, featuring a non-slip texture, is made of G10 laminate, which consists of fiberglass and epoxy resin. A spring-loaded steel clip makes it easy to carry the knife around every day, and it can be moved to the other side of the handle.

button lock, ball bearing

The blade is opened using the button that releases the Button Lock mechanism and a quick flick of the wrist. The blade opening process itself has been accelerated by the use of a ceramic ball bearing in the knife's main pivot.

14C28N feature
14C28N
14C28N is a martensitic "nitro" stainless steel developed by the Swedish company Sandvik (now Alleima). Its chemical composition has been optimized to achieve high hardness through nitrogen (0.11%) rather than carbon, which maintains corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. The carbon content of 0.62% contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium (14%) ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation. After proper heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 55-62 HRC, which provides an optimal balance between sharpness, strength, and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its fine-grained structure and ease of sharpening, 14C28N is a popular choice for the production of kitchen, EDC, hunting, and tactical knives.
Button Lock feature
Button Lock
Button Lock (also known as Plunge Lock) is a locking mechanism in folding knives based on a spring button. When fully opened, the tang enters a notch at the base of the blade and locks it in the working position; when closed, the same element acts as a detent. The design allows for smooth opening and closing with one hand and increases safety, as it does not require the user to place their fingers on the blade line. Thanks to its simplicity and reliability, the Button Lock is often used in EDC knives and collector's models.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
