A folding EDC (Every Day Carry) knife featuring a Drop-Point blade crafted from D2 tool steel. Outfitted with a robust Liner Lock, the handle sports tough G10 laminate scales, along with a deep-carry clip for tip-up carry. Ostap Hel is a renowned Polish knife designer, acclaimed for his distinctive, contemporary aesthetic. D2 tool steel

Forged from D2 tool steel, the blade delivers exceptional edge retention, superior strength, and outstanding resistance to chipping. With properties that surpass typical high-carbon steels, corrosion resistance is also notably improved.

Drop-Point blade, flat grind, PVD coating

Equipped with a blade featuring a Drop-Point profile, the model offers a blade length of 88.7 mm and a thickness of 3.2 mm. A flat grind enhances its cutting efficiency. For added protection against corrosion and to minimize glare, the blade is finished with a black PVD coating and receives an additional stonewashed finish.

Flipper, ceramic ball bearings, Liner Lock mechanism

Featuring a flipper for one-handed deployment, the knife ensures swift, effortless opening. A ceramic ball bearing positioned at the primary axis of the knife further improves the action. For secure use, the blade is locked in place by a straightforward Liner Lock mechanism.

G10 scales, steel clip

The ergonomically contoured handle scales are crafted from G10 laminate, which offers strong resistance to mechanical impacts and environmental elements. The non-slip surface provides a reliable and firm hold during operation.

A spring steel clip in the tip-up orientation ensures comfortable everyday carry, allowing seamless attachment of the knife to a pocket edge or belt. The clip is designed for mounting on either the left or right side.

    After continuous use (making sandwiches, cutting thin sticks [on the second day I accidentally cut my finger], and prying metal sheets of 1.0mm thickness at work) for more than 3 months, I have nothing to complain about. The cutting quality and workmanship are excellent, nothing comes loose or unscrews, and it unfolds very quickly. I can definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a pocket knife just in case.

    For four months, I used the Dundee model, but over time, the blade's bad geometry started to bother me. The Dundee splits rather than cuts, for example, an apple, so I switched to the Flick model, which cuts much better. The blade does not have a bulge that serves only for aesthetics, as in the Dundee. This bulge disrupts the geometry. The Flick's blade is flat. At first, I rejected this model because visually it reminded me of a 'kitchen knife.' Over time, I think the Flick is a better design. When folded, it is slim, carries well, light, the mechanics are great, and it has a much better-working blade. The finger cutout in the handle is also more comfortable than in the Dundee. From now on, the Dundee stays in the drawer. Flick in the pocket.

    For this price, it is a good quality knife. It is sharp and easy to sharpen. The opening mechanism has enough resistance that there is no concern the knife will open by itself, but the Bestechman brand is a Chinese brand and this knife was also made there.

    A project related to the Dundee. Slightly bigger, a bit lighter, more practical blade because it's without nooks and also cheaper (on a New Year's promotion). Lots of color variants. Before buying, you can try it out in a physical store.
