Nice knife, well made and solid, yet very lightweight. It can be worn around the neck thanks to the included necklace. Out of the box it could be a bit sharper, but that is a minor issue; you can always sharpen it a little more. Thanks to its low weight, you can hardly feel that you have it with you. The price is also a plus, it is not excessive. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase and can recommend it.
Cold Steel Bowie Spike 4116 Fixed Blade Knife
A fixed-blade knife with a full-tang construction, designed for everyday carry (EDC). The Bowie-profile blade is made of German 4116 stainless steel that has been Cryo Quenched and is corrosion-resistant. The blade, featuring a smooth cutting edge, has a flat grind and a satin finish. The black handle is made of Griv-Ex composite with a non-slip texture. The set includes a Secure-Ex sheath and a black beaded lanyard, allowing the knife to be worn around the neck. Numerous holes and grommets in the holster allow for multi-position attachment to a belt or other pieces of gear.
4116 Cryo-Quenched Stainless Steel
The blade is made of German 4116 stainless steel that has been cryo-quenched, a process that stabilizes the material’s structure and increases its wear resistance. This steel is characterized by good strength, high corrosion resistance, and the ability to retain its sharpness for longer. After proper heat treatment, it achieves a hardness of 55–57 HRC.
Satin-finished Bowie blade
The blade, which has a Bowie profile, is 100 mm long and 3 mm thick. The cutting edge features a flat grind, and the entire blade has been finished using a satin finish, which gives the surface a semi-matte appearance and reduces glare. The satin finish helps conceal minor scratches that occur during use.
Profiled Griv-Ex composite handle
The handle is made of a durable Griv-Ex glass-nylon composite. This material combines high strength with moisture resistance and low weight. The handle has an ergonomic shape and a non-slip surface.
Secure-Ex sheath
The Secure-Ex sheath is made of a lightweight and durable material that can withstand harsh weather conditions. The sheath holds the knife securely in place thanks to its custom-fit opening, which reduces the risk of accidental slippage. Numerous holes and grommets allow for multi-position attachment to a belt or other pieces of gear.

Very nicely made, well fitted, sharpened. I really like it, wonderful cutting properties, a solid brand. I highly recommend it to everyone, I like it.
-
Great knife, compact, sharp, good fit with the sheath, lightweight. Cold Steel, as usual, did a great job. I highly recommend it, I like it a lot.

Great knife. Ultra-light, solidly made, razor sharp, and beautiful. Despite the narrow handle, it fits well in the hand and the texture ensures it doesn’t slip. A product definitely worth recommending, and I will probably buy more from this series myself.

My first purchase was the Bowie and the Spike as a pair. The back of the blade is probably for a firestarter... It sits firmly in the sheath, the make is rough, sharp with a chain. Cold Steel is IT.
-
The knife is so nice that I immediately had to buy the version with a tanto blade. Excellent. An extra plus is the chain, which allows you to hang it around your neck. I recommend it.
-
Light and compact, yet it is still a full-fledged knife. A good recipe for a decent fixed-blade EDC knife. Decent workmanship and good price, I encourage you to try it.
-
Beautiful little knife, very well made. The biggest advantage is that a neck chain is included, and if someone likes, they can buy a clip and wear it on a belt. I recommend it.
-
Very nice neck knife, although for this type of knife, it is quite large. Light, very light – so light that it's easy to forget you're wearing it.
-
Small, quite sharp. That's nice. What's not nice is that the handle scales are not fitted, they stick out a bit at the spine. Here the factory messed up. The material and texture of the handle are not very comfortable; it's not very pleasant to hold the knife in your hand. But it must be admitted that it is non-slip.

The neck knife from Cold Steel was available at Militaria, but it disappeared quickly. I bought it as soon as it appeared, and I see that it has already sold out. I'm a bit surprised that the shop holds onto items that don't sell well, but somehow rations out popular products that customers want.

A very pleasant spike with something of a Japanese vibe. It’s lightweight, with quite a large blade. It’s comfortable to carry. I recommend it as a spare blade for your basic EDC.
