Kershaw Blur King's Camo Folding Knife - XK7

A folding knife featuring a Recurve Drop-Point blade shape with a length of 86 mm, crafted from corrosion-resistant 14C28N stainless steel. The combination of robust materials and meticulous craftsmanship has resulted in a folder that delivers both outstanding cutting efficiency and impressive durability.

Developed through a partnership between Kershaw and King’s Camo, the Blur model is the work of renowned knife designer Ken Onion. Engineered for versatile use, the knife strikes an ideal balance of performance, strength, and user comfort.

hardened 14C28N stainless steel, stonewash finish

The blade is crafted from premium 14C28N stainless steel, featuring a hardness rating of 58-60 HRC. This steel stands out for its exceptional hardness and superior corrosion resistance. A fine-grained composition ensures the material is straightforward to sharpen.

A Stonewash coating enhances the blade, delivering impressive scratch resistance. The finish imparts a matte, uneven texture to the steel, effectively concealing marks and wear from regular use.

Recurve Drop-Point blade,

Equipped with a blade featuring a Recurve Drop-Point profile and a smooth cutting edge, the model offers a length of 86 mm. The blade spine is outfitted with serrations, delivering a reliable thumb rest and improving blade control during operations.

aluminum handle in XK7 camouflage, Trac-Tec inserts

The handle in XK7 camouflage is crafted from robust 6061-T6 aluminum. This material is renowned for its exceptional mechanical damage resistance while retaining a lightweight profile.

Equipped with transparent Trac-Tec inserts, the model allows the camouflage design to remain visible underneath. These inserts also enhance functionality – their non-slip structure ensures a secure hold and significantly reduces the likelihood of the tool slipping from your grip.

liner lock, SpeedSafe mechanism, thumb stud

Equipped with a double-sided thumb stud and enhanced by the SpeedSafe system, the knife allows for rapid and effortless blade deployment. Once opened, a sturdy Liner-Lock mechanism securely locks the blade, effectively preventing accidental closure during operation.

flexible clip, lanyard hole

A versatile two-position clip provides practical options for carrying the tool, enabling secure attachment to a belt, pocket edge, or various gear elements. Located at the handle’s end, a lanyard hole allows for threading a cord or lanyard to help prevent loss of the knife.

Kershaw

Militaria.pl is a distributor of Kershaw.

Kershaw is an American knife brand, founded in 1974 by Pete Kershaw in Oregon, which from the very beginning has focused on the highest quality and practical solutions for hunters, anglers, and everyday users. In 1977, the company was acquired by the Japanese Kai Group, allowing it to combine American innovation with Japanese craftsmanship. In 1998, Kershaw revolutionized the market by introducing the SpeedSafe assisted opening mechanism, and in the following years won prestigious Blade Show awards for models such as the Tyrade with Composite Blade technology combining two different types of steel. The brand is also known for its collaboration with renowned knifemakers, including Ken Onion, Ernest Emerson, and Rick Hinderer, which has resulted in iconic models such as the Leek and Cryo.

14C28N feature
14C28N
14C28N is a martensitic "nitro" stainless steel developed by the Swedish company Sandvik (now Alleima). Its chemical composition has been optimized to achieve high hardness through nitrogen (0.11%) rather than carbon, which maintains corrosion resistance and increases edge durability. The carbon content of 0.62% contributes to good cutting properties, while chromium (14%) ensures high resistance to rust and oxidation. After proper heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of 55-62 HRC, which provides an optimal balance between sharpness, strength, and corrosion resistance. Thanks to its fine-grained structure and ease of sharpening, 14C28N is a popular choice for the production of kitchen, EDC, hunting, and tactical knives.
SpeedSafe (ZT) feature
SpeedSafe (ZT)
SpeedSafe is a patented blade opening assistance system developed by Ken Onion for Kershaw. The mechanism uses an internal spring installed in the handle, which, when the user presses the flipper or thumb stud, smoothly and quickly completes the blade deployment. Once in the open position, the blade is secured by a standard lock, which prevents accidental closure during use. SpeedSafe was introduced to the market in the late 1990s and is used in Kershaw and Zero Tolerance knives.
Aluminium feature
Aluminium
Aluminum is a lightweight and durable material widely used in knife manufacturing, especially in handles and structural elements. It is characterized by low weight, high corrosion resistance, and high susceptibility to machining and anodizing, which allows for durable, aesthetic surfaces in various colors. Well-chosen aluminum alloys provide adequate rigidity while maintaining low weight, which makes knives more comfortable to carry on a daily basis. In addition, this material is weather-resistant, does not rust, and withstands intensive use well, which is why it is used in tactical knives, EDC knives, and outdoor tools.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
Trac-Tec feature
Trac-Tec
Trac-Tec are Kershaw's patented elastomer inserts with a rough surface that significantly improve the knife's grip. Mounted in handle grooves made of aluminum, steel, or nylon, they ensure a secure grip even in rain, mud, or when working with gloves. Thanks to their flexibility and high abrasion resistance, they also dampen vibrations and improve comfort of use. This solution is particularly valued in tactical and outdoor knives, where grip safety is of paramount importance.
