Tactical functions: weapon adjustment and maintenance
The MUT EOD is engineered to be compatible with most standard cleaning rods used for the M16/AR-15 series of firearms. By unscrewing the C4 punch, a cleaning rod or brush can be securely attached, providing improved control during maintenance. An additional threaded hole, situated approximately in the middle of the multitool's handle when folded, allows users to create a substantial and ergonomic handle for the cleaning rod. The C4 punch can alternatively be replaced with a carbine mounting pin remover for the M16/AR-15 series.
Distinguished by its professional-grade primer cutter, the MUT EOD features replaceable blades on the sapper fuse cutter, crafted from hardened 154CM stainless steel. The MUT EOD incorporates an interchangeable bit socket, enabling the use of multiple “bits” and greatly expanding the tool’s versatility. Included bits are selected specifically for the maintenance needs of M16/AR-15 series firearms. A notable advantage of the MUT EOD is the quick replacement of high-wear components. One of my favorite Leatherman multitools. I have both the black and regular versions. It’s a quite useful tool for someone who shoots AR-15 rifles a lot. For EDC I have the Charge, and the MUT is always in my gear.

A very nice multitool with a specialized purpose. The black oxide coating stains hands a lot, so it's worth washing it with soap and drying it thoroughly. The holster/pouch is green, but it's regular green and not olive green; nevertheless, it looks quite good on the gear. The bit extender also serves as a tool for adjusting the front sight on AR-type rifles. I recommend this multitool!

This is the first time I've bought a product from this brand, convinced that it would last a long time and be maintenance-free. And I was disappointed. After using the flat end just for the second time to unscrew a screw, the part chipped. According to the manufacturer, replaceable elements are not covered by the warranty.
