Constructed in Flecktarn camouflage, the ECWCS second generation water-resistant jacket utilizes a three-layer laminate that delivers reliable water resistance up to 5000 mm. Engineered to shield effectively against wind, the jacket also offers excellent insulation properties. The relaxed fit facilitates unrestricted mobility.
Durable material
The exterior of the jacket consists of 96% polyester with a 4% elastane blend. Internally, a breathable polyurethane membrane has been integrated. A detachable, insulated fleece lining sits beneath the jacket, providing added warmth. The fabric maintains vapor permeability, minimizing the risk of overheating during high-intensity activities. The inclusion of the lining makes the jacket suitable not only for autumn and spring but also for winter conditions. Jacket purchased on 1.12.2024, well and solidly made, nice external pocket zippers, waterproof. The fleece is warm, and the sleeves are slightly shorter than the jacket, but that's a plus—they don't get soaked in the rain. In a model from another company, that was a problem. I've worn it for two winters, and it’s not bad. :-) As for downsides, after removing the fleece, there's no hook to hang the jacket, which is only present on the fleece. Overall, I recommend it.
