The jacket works very well in worse weather conditions. It protects well against wind and rain, and the lining provides extra warmth on colder days. The material looks solid and the whole thing seems to be well made. The cut is comfortable and does not restrict movement, even with more layers underneath. Big plus for practical pockets and the ability to adjust the jacket to your needs. If someone is looking for a universal jacket for outdoor activities and everyday use, it is really worth it.

The second-generation ECWCS jacket is waterproof and constructed from a three-layer laminate that offers robust protection against wind and water. The material also prioritizes breathability, helping to minimize the chance of overheating during intense activity.
The jacket’s outer shell comprises 96% polyester combined with 4% elastane, while the interior features a breathable polyurethane membrane. A detachable fleece liner underneath provides warmth, making the jacket suitable not only for autumn and spring, but also for winter wear. The Wet Weather variant incorporates a snow skirt to block snow from entering underneath.
Equipped with seven pockets, the jacket ensures ample storage options:
- two sizable hip pockets secured with waterproof zippers,
- two arm pockets fitted with velcro and waterproof zippers,
- a large back lining pocket with velcro closure,
- two side zipper pockets in the lining.
Closure is provided by a two-way YKK zipper, further reinforced with a double storm flap. Underarm ventilation zippers maintain airflow and help regulate temperature.
The high collar and hood deliver reliable protection to the head and neck against wind and cold. Adjustable velcro cuffs ensure a customized fit around the wrist. All external seams are fully taped.

PHANTOMLEAF® utilizes advanced digital analysis of terrain imagery to tailor camo patterns to specific environments, factoring in movement and other conditions for superior adaptability. At the same time, PHANTOMLEAF® camo remains distinct enough to support effective "friend or foe" identification for soldiers and players during ASG events.
The WASP I Z1B variant excels in rocky landscapes with sparse vegetation, such as tundra or mountain areas above the tree line, and can also adapt effectively to urban or industrial settings dominated by concrete and steel. Performance remains strong even when snow partially covers the terrain.

Jacket purchased on 1.12.2024, well and solidly made, nice external pocket zippers, waterproof. The fleece is warm, and the sleeves are slightly shorter than the jacket, but that's a plus—they don't get soaked in the rain. In a model from another company, that was a problem. I've worn it for two winters, and it’s not bad. :-) As for downsides, after removing the fleece, there's no hook to hang the jacket, which is only present on the fleece. Overall, I recommend it.

I bought one of these jackets about a year ago, and although I appreciate it for its warmth and comfort, the one I received is not waterproof at all. As soon as I go out in the rain, I get soaked right away. That was really disappointing, so now I’m looking for a water-resistant jacket.

After six years of wearing the Gen1 jacket almost daily (except in the summer) during dog walks – about 10 km a day – I had to replace it with a new one, as the wear and tear was completely natural. The jacket has always proven to be waterproof, windproof, warm, and durable, and my Malinois didn't always treat it gently. Now, I've chosen the Gen 2 model, in which I really see significant improvements. The pockets have become more functional and have zippers, the hood is bigger and adjustable, and the fleece lining remains as before. The jacket's cut is great – with my height of 204 cm and weight of 113 kg, I choose size XXL. Also, just like in the previous version, I sewed a cord into the bottom of the jacket to fit it better – without this, it was too loose. Thanks to this, the bottom of the jacket fits like a hoodie. It's great! I hope Gen 2 will last me just as long.

I've been using it for two years and I'm moderately satisfied. The jacket has a unique camouflage pattern. It's practically undetectable from a distance of even 10 meters in the right terrain. Additionally, it has spacious pockets and the possibility to detach the fleece lining, which can be worn separately. The two-way main zipper and the zippers under the armpits are definitely advantages. Unfortunately, most of them operate quite stiffly, which makes it difficult to use one-handed. The jacket works well in temperatures from 0 to 20 degrees, which is quite a range. However, during intense walking, you start to sweat a lot, even if you remove the lining. The waterproofing is rather minimal, as is the breathability. The attachments for the fleece lining at the sleeve ends are with one snap per sleeve, which makes it difficult to remove. In fact, in the first few months, the poorly designed snap connecting the fleece to the outer layer broke, near the hanging loop, and after two years, the more frequently used sleeve zipper no longer fastens.

I picked it up, tried it on, and sent it back while at the same time ordering a smaller size. The sizes are a bit exaggerated. The jacket looks solid, the “fleece” liner too. The weight is similar to the ECWSC USA gen.I (without liner), a bit longer. Nice enough that I ordered a smaller one right away. I’ll keep trying with the size until I get it right ;-)

The jacket is very well made - there are no shortcomings or flaws. It is warm even after removing the inner layer. The camouflage works very well. The jacket is very functional, has plenty of large pockets, a high collar, and a hood with a small visor. A big plus is that you can unzip the sides under the arms, which allows you to air out a bit. I recommend measuring yourself carefully before buying and checking the jacket’s measurements :)

The jacket is great, comfortable, good quality. I bought size XL jacket + pants. The lining is warm, the hood is comfortable, it protects the neck well from the wind thanks to the high collar. My measurements: 190 cm height, 120 cm chest, weight 113 kg, waist 101 cm.

Very nice jacket, warm with a high collar and hood. Well made, it's not a cheap Chinese product from Aliexpress. Just be careful with the sizing, because it's not accurate and it is indeed large; jackets and pants are for big guys. I assumed the clothes would be smaller than described in the size chart, but it’s actually the opposite. I ordered 3XL, as I usually do in various stores (weight 113kg, 190cm, 102cm waist, 120cm chest), and this jacket was much too big, like putting on a sheet or a big bag, like the Groke from the Moomins :) Now I've ordered XL. Also be careful with the pants from this series, same situation: supposedly minimum 100cm for 3XL, but after tightening the drawstrings there was still about 6cm too much at the waist, so I also ordered XL. Overall, the clothes are very well made and it will be easier to photograph animals.

Hello, I have this jacket, it looks great, I recommend it. As for the sleeves and the zipper closure, there should be a different solution, this version is a bit impractical, unless someone likes it? Personally, I don't like it and I have my own idea for changing this closure. I recommend it.

The jacket overall disappointed me a bit – the workmanship quality for this price is not satisfactory. Nevertheless, it looks nice and is functional (the detachable fleece lining offers many possibilities, and the jacket is theoretically all-season).

It looks good, the cut allows for relative comfort, it works in the rain, is warm, but it’s just a façade that should be used carefully in city conditions. The finish quality is embarrassingly low. I wouldn’t take it into the field. Breathability is also a myth. Two stars for quality and durability, plus one more because it works perfectly for business trips – when you need a universal piece of clothing for a suit jacket and for after-hours use.

Nice jacket, I let myself buy it at full price as a birthday gift. According to feedback, the jacket is very comfortable, and the great thing is that it comes with a fleece (so you don't need to buy it separately or look for liners), and a very funny comment after coming back from outdoors was: "...I didn't even feel under the jacket that I was sweating..." which can be interpreted as good breathability. In summary, the jacket is still being tested, but many signs indicate that it is indeed worth considering.

It looks really nice. Unfortunately, according to the size chart, size S was supposed to fit a person 174 cm tall with a 102 cm chest circumference, but it is too small. I am waiting for the delivery of size M.
