Great system: filter + bottle. You draw water and, while drinking, physical, biological (including viruses), and many chemical contaminants are filtered out.
A compact, lightweight bottle equipped with a filter that eliminates up to 99% of bacteria and waterborne impurities. Featuring an advanced filtration system, the bottle can be replenished with water from a range of sources, including the tap, rain, snow, or even from lakes and rivers.
Constructed from robust, food-grade plastic derived entirely from sugarcane, the bottle is BPA Free (contains no bisphenol A), and is 100% recyclable.
Utilizing the cutting-edge Water-to-Go filtration system, which employs nanotechnology and alumina particles as developed and implemented by NASA, this technology effectively filters up to 200 liters of water.
Water-to-Go filters deliver protection against the following contaminants:
- bacteria (including e.coli, typhoid, cholera, dysentery, and botulism agents),
- viruses (such as polio, Hepatitis A, enteroviruses, and reoviruses, among others),
- heavy metals (lead, chromium, mercury, nickel, aluminum, copper, iron),
- volatile organic compounds (for example, formaldehyde).

I used the bottle to filter and drink water from rivers in Iceland. And I’m still alive, so I guess it works. The water didn't have a plastic smell, but it also wasn’t kept in the bottle for too long, at most a few hours.

Water-to-Go Sugarcane Filter Bottle 550 ml Black: Filtered about 20L of water from a river and tap water in South America. No health problems at all, and I didn’t notice any change in the taste of the water due to filtering. Pros: -The bottle is very well made, sturdy and flexible -A really good alternative to buying bottled water -The bottle is flexible enough to allow you to filter water into another, spare bottle for example Cons: -To drink, you need to continuously suck water from the bottle (it doesn’t flow freely like from a sports bottle)
