Za-Pas Ambro2 G10 Stonewash Fixed Blade Knife - Black

Engineered with a Full-Tang design, this fixed-blade knife features a Drop-Point silhouette and is crafted from corrosion-resistant 1.4116S stainless steel. Rugged construction and a sleek profile allow for versatile application, ranging from everyday utility to demanding outdoor adventures and field operations.

tool steel O2 and Stonewash coating

Constructed from premium stainless steel 1.4116S, the knife blade undergoes a hardening process to achieve a hardness of 59-61 HRC. The selected material offers excellent resistance to corrosion. Featuring a Stonewash finish, the blade benefits from high scratch resistance. This coating imparts a matte, irregular texture to the steel, which effectively conceals wear marks resulting from use.

blade with a Drop-point profile, flat grind, proper balance

Equipped with a blade featuring a Drop-Point design, this model offers a straight cutting edge and measures 90 mm in length. The blade is finished with a flat grind. A single-sided cross guard delivers both protection and stability while handling the tool.

Thanks to the proper balance of the blade, users enjoy enhanced control over the knife. Weight is distributed evenly between the blade and handle, resulting in greater cutting precision and minimized hand fatigue during prolonged tasks.

Handle scales made from durable G10 laminate

Featuring an ergonomic design, the handle is crafted from black G10 laminate, a material renowned for its resistance to moisture, fluctuations in temperature, as well as most solvents and acids. Furthermore, it delivers exceptional durability against mechanical impacts.

The textured scales provide a reliable and secure hold while using the knife.

sheath included

Included in the set is a rigid sheath crafted from lightweight yet robust Kydex, ensuring easy and secure knife attachment to a belt. Multiple mounting holes are integrated, arranged specifically to accommodate Tek-Lok mounting systems.

1.4116S feature
1.4116S
1.4116S (commercial equivalent of 14C28N steel) is a stainless steel with good hardness and corrosion resistance, belonging to the martensitic steel group. It contains approximately 0.45-0.55% carbon, which gives it a hardness of 55-58 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, as well as relatively good abrasion resistance. The chromium content of 14-15% ensures very good resistance to rust and oxidation. Additionally, it contains manganese (0.6%), silicon (0.2%) and a small amount of phosphorus and sulfur. 1.4116S is valued for its ease of sharpening and maintenance, as well as for its relatively good balance between hardness, corrosion resistance, and edge durability, making it suitable for the production of medium-hardness knives, kitchen knives, and tools.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
