The knife makes a great impression from the very beginning. Excellent workmanship, properly sharpened, and it fits well in the hand. The stonewashed finish looks really great. For me, it is the optimal size, the sheath fits well and ensures safe carrying. Simply a solid piece of a good knife. Bought on sale at a very attractive price (249 PLN).
Za-Pas WZ.25 Grom Plus Kydex Limited Edition 2026 Knife - Orange
The Za-Pas WZ.25 Grom knife was designed by Militaria.pl in consultation with soldiers and outdoor enthusiasts, and its production was entrusted to the renowned Polish Za-Pas manufactory. It is a durable tactical knife with a 15-centimeter Clip-Point blade and a Full Tang construction. The knife’s main asset is the blade made of excellent Swedish Sleipner steel, which has undergone professional heat treatment.
The knife comes in the special Limited Edition 2026 version limited to 50 pieces. It stands out with a new, more durable sheath made of Kydex, ergonomically shaped handle scales made of orange G10 laminate, the included Za-Pas Mig-Mag flint, which allows effective fire starting in all conditions, as well as a special notch on the blade ricasso designed for striking sparks. Each piece additionally has an individually engraved serial number together with the model name on the tang.
A proposition both for collectors and for people looking for a durable and reliable fixed-blade knife that will perform excellently during field work, regardless of the prevailing conditions.
Sleipner tool steel
The WZ.25 Grom Plus Kydex Limited Edition 2026 model is made from a single piece of Sleipner tool steel developed by the Swedish steelworks Uddeholm. This steel combines above-average abrasion resistance with high resistance to cracking and chipping, which is a difficult-to-achieve yet highly desirable combination for a knife intended for heavy work and combat. Additionally, this steel is much less susceptible to corrosion than typical low-alloy tool steels. The name Sleipner comes from Norse mythology - it was the name of the magical eight-legged mount ridden by Odin, the god of war and warriors.
Geometry and hardening, flat grind, cross guard and jimping on the spine
The Clip-Point blade with a length of 147 mm has been hardened to 59 +/-1 HRC and finished with a black textured coating providing additional protection against corrosion. The blade features a flat grind reaching halfway up the blade height, which, combined with the spine thickness of 4.2 mm, ensures high durability while maintaining optimal cutting properties. The thickened tip profile significantly reduces the risk of breakage. On the spine, where the thumb rests, there is jimping facilitating control over the blade during cutting. The minimal, single-sided cross guard does not interfere during work and, together with the index finger choil, sufficiently protects the hand even during strong thrusts.
G10 handle scales, lanyard hole, engraved serial number
The handle consists of ergonomically shaped scales screwed to the tang, made of durable and mechanically damage-resistant G10 laminate. The rough texture of the scales ensures a secure grip, even when the hand is dirty or wet. At the end of the handle there is a so-called lanyard hole, allowing a safety cord to be threaded through.
On the upper surface of the blade tang running through the handle, an engraved serial number together with the model designation has been placed.
Za-Pas Mig-Mag flint included, notch on the blade for striking sparks
The knife comes with a Za-Pas Mig-Mag flint generating a large stream of sparks. The flint allows effective fire starting, making it suitable not only for camping and outdoor trips, but also for emergency situations. It can be used to light, for example, a gas stove, a camping stove or a campfire, which is a source of heat and makes it possible to prepare a meal away from home. The rod measuring 9.5 x 67 mm makes it possible to strike sparks with a much larger surface area (compared to smaller models), allowing fire starting even up to 3000 times. During striking, sparks at a temperature of 3000 degrees Celsius are produced, which, when falling onto previously prepared tinder, ignite a flame even during severe frost or torrential rain.
Effective use of the flint with the knife is enabled by a special notch placed on the blade ricasso, shaped to fit the rod, allowing sparks to be struck without the risk of damaging the cutting edge.
Sheath made of durable Kydex with multi-position mounting
The set includes a rigid sheath made of lightweight and damage-resistant Kydex material. Holes and grommets placed on each side of the sheath allow multi-position attachment to equipment. The nylon belt loop has been attached to the sheath with a steel fin, ensuring high stability and durability of the entire construction.

Review summary
Customers praise this knife for its rugged build, durable Sleipner steel, strong edge retention, and reliable performance in demanding outdoor tasks such as batoning, firewood preparation, and general camp work. Many reviewers highlight the comfortable grip, good balance, sharp factory edge, and attractive stonewashed finish. Buyers also often see it as a strong value choice, especially when discounted, and they appreciate that it is made in Poland. The main criticism concerns the ABS sheath, which some users find poorly fitted, too tight, or less durable than expected, so several reviewers prefer the Kydex version. Some reviews also mention a handle that feels too slim, aggressive jimping, coating wear, and occasional quality-control issues such as loose scales, screws that need tightening, or minor finishing flaws.

The knife fits very well in the hand and is extremely handy, with an ideal length, and the fit to the sheath is also perfect. Visually, it makes a much better impression than in the photos, it really is pleasing to the eye, which I also consider important. I recommend it.

I had the opportunity to use the WZ.25 Grom Black during SERE-B. After this experience, I can say that it is a solid and practical outdoor knife. It performed well in typical field tasks, and the Full Tang construction gives a sense of durability and confidence during use.

A solid piece of knife, and to my amateur eye it looks pretty good. The stonewashed blade looks great. As for the workmanship, there’s nothing to complain about. The only thing that doesn’t suit me is the thickness of the handle. I don’t know if it’s intentional so that a commando wearing gloves can hold it comfortably, but I’m not a commando and for me it’s a bit too thin. Bought for 249 PLN.

The knife sits securely in the hand, whether you're working with gloves or without. It is quite light, which is a big advantage if the work drags on. The jimping on the spine of the blade provides good thumb support and makes working with the knife much more comfortable. The knife performs well in "ordinary" camp tasks, and it handles batoning fairly large pieces of firewood very well. The black protective coating definitely requires an additional protective layer to be applied, most likely some kind of oil. Without it, it probably won’t last long — my specimen already shows wear from ordinary batoning — so it should really be one star lower for that, but it doesn’t matter much to me, so I’m leaving it at 5. The knife fits the sheath well, with no looseness. Bought on sale, so there’s really nothing to complain about. And a Polish manufacturer is always appreciated. I recommend it.

I highly recommend this knife, it is very durable. Thanks to the 25-degree edge, it keeps its sharpness for a long time, and when it gets dull, it is enough to run it over a 600-grit diamond, then finish it on a 1000 or 1500 stone and it is razor-sharp again. My only reservation as a left-handed person is that if you switch the belt attachment to the other side, it is unfortunately arranged in such a way that it squeezes the sheath, so the knife goes in very tightly and during use it will get scratched too much and the coating or finish of the blade will be damaged. لذلك I recommend left-handed users get some kind of Tek-Lock or, if you have a Cold Steel knife such as an SRK or GI Tanto, move the belt attachment to our Grom and use the Za Pasa attachment for the Cold Steel. The Cold Steel will still fit in normally, and I also tested it on my own knife with the Cold Steel belt attachment and it works fine, so I recommend this solution

The knife immediately makes a very good impression with its solid craftsmanship. It fits well in the hand, and the handle provides a secure grip even during prolonged use. The blade is carefully made and feels very durable. The stonewashed finish looks great and additionally gives the knife character. The sheath is practical and allows for convenient carrying of the knife. This is a very successful model for people who appreciate solid and aesthetically made equipment.
-
Very good, durable. As for the engraving: done perfectly in the color of the manufacturer's marking - a fairy tale. Perfectly integrated. I’ll say this right away: buy a whetstone and oil - don’t skimp. And it’s a Polish product!
-
The knife gives a very good impression in terms of craftsmanship – it is solid, fits well in the hand, and works both outdoors and for heavier tasks. The blade stays sharp for a long time, and the sheath is comfortable and practical to carry. The order was processed quickly, and the product matched the description.

WZ-25 Very nicely made, durable, sharp right out of the box. Worth recommending and its price. It's my first knife of this kind. I'll see how it holds up in a few years :D

The WZ-25 is my ideal long-awaited forest knife. It fits perfectly in the hand, is hefty but not clumsy. Slipner steel holds sharpness very well, and the blade itself gives you a sense of complete control during cutting and heavy-duty tasks. The handle is ergonomic and secure, even with a wet hand. The sheath is well-made and holds the knife firmly in place. This is a tool you actually want to take to the forest and use without worry that something will overwhelm it. An ideal choice for someone who needs a strong work knife – without frills, but with real functionality. I recommend it.
-
I definitely recommend it. A thoughtfully designed and well-made knife. Paired with the sheath, it looks like a tactical knife, but when you take it in your hand, you can't help but feel that it is a very good bushcraft or survival knife. The balance, weight, size, and shape of the blade along with the handle make the knife literally rotate by itself in your hand. The handle is perfectly finished, and when you look closely at the details of the blade (guard and jimping) along with the stonewashed finish, the Za-Pas WZ.25 knife takes on a handmade character. The ABS sheath is well-fitted and finished - no burrs or sharp edges. Of course, the biggest advantage for me is that it is fully Polish-made. It turns out that the Za-Pas WZ.25 is an excellent knife.

Well, in the photos it looks great, and in real life actually not too bad either, but... Overall, it seems relatively massive and solid. It sits well in the hand, but—as a previous speaker rightly pointed out—the scales are thin. I have hands, quote, "like a little girl," so for me it's okay. The jimping is too deep, sharp, and it tears up the thumb. The sheath is a complete failure—the material does not look stable or durable; I feel like I could crumble it in my hands. Water gets into it with no problem, it has gaps at the joints, and yet there is no drainage hole. The holes on the sides are too narrow for PALS straps. The belt loop is too small for wide, thick carrying belts; there are no other mounting options such as PALS or ALICE. The price is definitely too high.
-
The knife, despite lacking any special contouring, fits perfectly in the hand. You can feel the solid workmanship; it sits well with the sheath. Sharp from the factory, good thickness, and the sheath is quite flexible so it does not get in the way when sitting if mounted on a belt.

Za-Pas WZ.25 Grom Stonewashed Knife - Black - A solid piece of knife, and most importantly made of Swedish Sleipner steel. Despite not having a very bulky handle, the knife sits well in the hand, and the build quality is decent. It performs very well in camp tasks; it is practical and sturdy. During longer work, the low-comfort and very uncomfortable jimping is a big drawback! But that is the only thing I can complain about. I recommend this knife.
