Carinthia HIG 5.0 Trousers - MultiCam

Insulated pants in MultiCam camouflage intended for operations in low temperatures reaching up to -20 degrees Celsius and during changing weather conditions. They were developed as an insulating layer providing high thermal protection.

The outer layer is made of windproof Carinthia SOF 2L material, and the interior is filled with 125 g/m2 G-Loft synthetic insulation. The model is equipped with one external pocket, adjustable suspenders and two-way side zippers allowing quick dressing without the need to remove footwear.

The outer layer is made of Carinthia SOF 2L based on polyamide. The material is lightweight, wind-resistant and water-repellent, which reduces the penetration of cold air and the absorption of moisture during brief contact with rain or wet surroundings. The pants lining is made of 100% polyamide, which makes it easier to put the garment on over thermal base layer. In critical knee and seat areas, durable fabric reinforcements have been used to improve durability during work in changing positions.

Warmth retention is ensured by 125 g/m2 G-Loft synthetic insulation made of 100% polyester. G-Loft fibres retain warmed air inside the insulating layer, helping to maintain thermal comfort in low temperatures. The resilient filling does not clump and retains its warming properties even when damp.

The pants are equipped with one external pocket, located at the back, fastened with a concealed zipper with a protective flap. The pocket is intended for safely carrying handy small items.

The model is equipped with adjustable suspenders with a new design that stabilize the pants during movement, while the high waist at the rear of the waistband covers the lower back and protects the kidneys from drafts. Along the legs there are separating, two-way zippers with a windproof strip, which allow the pants to be put on or taken off quickly while wearing boots and equipment, and also enable ventilation adjustment during intense exertion. Transport dimensions of 18 x 31 cm and low weight make the garment easy to carry in a backpack.

MultiCam is a modern camouflage pattern developed in 2002 by the American company Crye Precision in cooperation with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) as part of the Objective Force Warrior program. Its purpose was to create a universal camouflage pattern effective in varied terrain and changing environmental conditions.

The MultiCam pattern consists of seven colours creating gradient transitions between shades of green, brown and beige. Thanks to this, it dynamically adapts to the background, taking on shades of green in forested areas or browns and beiges in desert regions - in the environment of Central and Eastern Europe it works particularly well in autumn and among dry vegetation. MultiCam has gained recognition worldwide and is used by numerous armed forces and special units. In 2010, the camouflage was officially adopted by the US Army as the camouflage pattern for soldiers stationed in Afghanistan, replacing the earlier Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP). This pattern is also available to civilian users, which makes it a popular choice among military enthusiasts and airsoft players.
