Direct Action Dragon Egg, a 25-liter patrol backpack that’s also perfect for everyday use. It’s made from highly durable 500D Cordura. A large carrying handle made from 5 meters of 550 paracord ensures comfortable carrying.
The Dragon Egg features 3 compartments that close with zippers. The rear compartment is designed to carry a hydration bladder or a laptop with a screen size up to 15.6", thanks to a padded pocket that protects the device.
The spacious main compartment can also be used to carry a hydration bladder; it is equipped with a mounting point and an opening for the tube and mouthpiece. Additionally, it features a large mesh pocket.
The front compartment features anextensive organizer with two pockets, making it easy to carry EDC gear. On the front wall of the compartment, there is a flat mesh pocket with a zipper closure.
Bottles can be carried in dedicated, partially elastic side pockets. A 10 x 5 cm Velcro panel is located on the front of the backpack for attaching patches or emblems. Under the Velcro is a flat zippered pocket.
The Dragon Egg is covered with a laser-cut panelcompatible with the MOLLE/PALS system. Thanks to its shape, the backpack is smaller than backpacks with similar capacity, which makes it much easier to use with ballistic vests and accouterments on the belt.
D-rings on the shoulder straps and top of the backpack, as well as daisy chain loops, allow for attaching useful small items. Compression straps are located on the sides and bottom of the backpack. Reliability is ensured by the use of YKK zippers and WooJin Duraflex buckles.
The carrying system consists of contoured, adjustable-length shoulder straps with quick-release buckles, complemented by chest and hip belts that ensure the backpack stays securely in place. The back panel of the backpack is constructed using the Combat Vent System, which provides improved ventilation through the use of contoured foam covered with mesh and numerous air channels.

I am very satisfied – the reviews I read were accurate. The backpack looks great, is durable and versatile – I have used it both on trips and for everyday use in the city. At first, I was surprised that the main compartment is not as spacious as I expected from its external appearance; however, the front pocket holds almost as much… This is not a drawback, you just have to get used to it – even larger items can easily fit into the front pocket (which distinguishes this backpack from other models, where the main compartment is large and the front pocket is small). Initially, I had doubts about the color – it was supposed to be coyote, but it looks like real brown (this is not a coyote tan shade!). The side bottle pockets are very practical – a 1.5-liter PET bottle fits freely, and you can grab a smaller 0.75-liter bottle without taking off the backpack – for me, this is the biggest advantage during longer hikes. I also rate the hip belt positively – often criticized in reviews, but although it is narrow and does not have padding (unlike the larger 30L version), it still provides good relief when carrying loads during walks.
