The Direct Action Dragon Egg 25-liter patrol backpack offers versatility both for patrol operations and daily use. Constructed from extremely robust 500D Cordura, it features a sturdy transport handle crafted from 5 meters of 550 paracord for comfortable hand carrying.
Equipped with three zippered compartments, the Dragon Egg’s rear section is specially designed for hydration systems or laptops up to 15.6”, featuring a padded sleeve to protect your device.
A capacitious main compartment also accommodates a hydration bladder, complete with a dedicated mount and port for the hose and mouthpiece, as well as a large internal mesh pocket.
Within the front compartment, a well-designed organizer featuring two pockets ensures easy carry of EDC gear, complemented by a flat mesh pocket with a zip closure on the compartment’s front wall.
Partially elastic side pockets are tailored for bottles. The backpack’s front is equipped with a velcro panel (10 x 5 cm) to attach patches or insignia, beneath which lies a flat zippered pocket.
A laser-cut panel on the Dragon Egg provides MOLLE/PALS system compatibility. Its streamlined shape results in a more compact profile than other packs of equivalent capacity, greatly enhancing usability with ballistic vests and belt rigs.
Attachment points such as D-Rings on the straps and top, along with daisy chain loops, facilitate additional gear integration. Compression straps located on the sides and bottom enhance pack stability. Durability is guaranteed through the use of YKK zippers and Duraflex buckles by WooJin.
The carrying system is comprised of ergonomically contoured, adjustable shoulder straps with a quick-detach mechanism, alongside chest and waist straps that secure the load. The geometry of the backpack and the side pockets with the Molle system have also been excellently solved. The carrying system and back panel clearly stand out compared to other daypacks. After adjusting, the straps hold well and do not move, which cannot be said, for example, about the 5.11 Rush model.
