+pros: as is usually the case with direct action, the equipment is exceptionally professional and in my opinion matches the best brands. The color (Ranger Green) is perfectly suited for both urban and operational use. The backpack has many practical, well-designed pockets and compartments, numerous loops, and plenty of options for attaching things on the outside. The geometry of the backpack and the side pockets with the Molle system have also been excellently solved. The carrying system and back panel clearly stand out compared to other daypacks. After adjusting, the straps hold well and do not move, which cannot be said, for example, about the 5.11 Rush model. -cons: I have no remarks.
The Direct Action Dragon Egg 25-liter patrol backpack offers versatility both for patrol operations and daily use. Constructed from extremely robust 500D Cordura, it features a sturdy transport handle crafted from 5 meters of 550 paracord for comfortable hand carrying.
Equipped with three zippered compartments, the Dragon Egg’s rear section is specially designed for hydration systems or laptops up to 15.6”, featuring a padded sleeve to protect your device.
A capacitious main compartment also accommodates a hydration bladder, complete with a dedicated mount and port for the hose and mouthpiece, as well as a large internal mesh pocket.
Within the front compartment, a well-designed organizer featuring two pockets ensures easy carry of EDC gear, complemented by a flat mesh pocket with a zip closure on the compartment’s front wall.
Partially elastic side pockets are tailored for bottles. The backpack’s front is equipped with a velcro panel (10 x 5 cm) to attach patches or insignia, beneath which lies a flat zippered pocket.
A laser-cut panel on the Dragon Egg provides MOLLE/PALS system compatibility. Its streamlined shape results in a more compact profile than other packs of equivalent capacity, greatly enhancing usability with ballistic vests and belt rigs.
Attachment points such as D-Rings on the straps and top, along with daisy chain loops, facilitate additional gear integration. Compression straps located on the sides and bottom enhance pack stability. Durability is guaranteed through the use of YKK zippers and Duraflex buckles by WooJin.
The carrying system is comprised of ergonomically contoured, adjustable shoulder straps with a quick-detach mechanism, alongside chest and waist straps that secure the load. The backpack incorporates the Combat Vent System back panel, utilizing profiled foam covered in mesh and multiple air channels to optimize airflow and comfort.

I was considering it and the Wisport MK2 30L. This one has better opinions and I have experience with the 40-liter Wisport. The hip belt does not fulfill its function. I chose the Dragon Egg and I am satisfied with it.

Great backpack. Thoughtful in every aspect. Solid material, lots of pockets, stiffened back, laptop compartment, roll-up and hideable straps. I only regret the lack of two-color versions. They looked great. However, the price is astronomical.

The Dragon Egg Mk. II backpack is an EDC and tactical hit! Capacity in a compact form, laser-cut MOLLE and a great carrying system. Ideal for the city and short trips. Durable and well thought-out, worth every penny.
-
Very good and spacious backpack. The first external compartment contains a lot of pockets and slots for small and large gadgets. The zippers are sturdy and should withstand even rough handling. The laptop compartment is roomy and can fit a notebook and a book if they are of medium size. The straps are thick and soft. Highly recommended.

Review of Direct Action Dragon Egg Mk. II 25L Backpack in Ranger Green I recently purchased my second Direct Action Dragon Egg Mk. II 25L Backpack in ranger green, and it has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of gear. Here are my thoughts on this versatile and durable backpack. Design and Aesthetics The ranger green color is both tactical and understated, making it suitable for various environments. The design is sleek and compact, yet it manages to offer ample storage space without feeling bulky. The overall look is professional and rugged, perfect for outdoor adventures or everyday carry. Build Quality The build quality is exceptional. The 500D Cordura fabric is tough and resistant to abrasions, ensuring the backpack can withstand rough use. The stitching is strong and well-executed, which is a hallmark of Direct Action products. The zippers operate smoothly, and the overall construction feels solid. Comfort and Fit Comfort is a standout feature. The adjustable shoulder straps are well-padded and ergonomically designed, making it easy to carry even when fully loaded. The back panel is also padded and breathable, enhancing comfort during extended wear. I've used it for both short hikes and daily commutes, and it performs admirably in both scenarios. Storage and Organization The 25L capacity is just right for day trips or daily use. The main compartment is spacious, with a hydration bladder pocket and multiple internal pockets for organization. The external MOLLE webbing is a great addition, allowing for customization with additional pouches or gear. I appreciate the side pockets, which are perfect for water bottles or quick-access items. Performance Whether I’m hiking, commuting, or traveling, this backpack has held up beautifully. It’s weather-resistant, which is a significant advantage in unpredictable conditions. I’ve taken it through rain and light snow without any issues, keeping my gear dry. Conclusion Overall, the Direct Action Dragon Egg Mk. II 25L Backpack in ranger green is an outstanding choice for anyone looking for a reliable, stylish, and functional backpack. With its excellent build quality, comfort, and practical design, I highly recommend it for outdoor enthusiasts and everyday users alike. If you're considering a durable and versatile backpack, this one is worth every penny.

I recently picked up the Direct Action Dragon Egg Mk. II 25L Backpack, and I have to say, it’s been a game changer for my outdoor adventures. The quality of the materials is impressive—this pack feels built to last, even in rugged conditions. The organization is fantastic. There are plenty of compartments that help me keep my gear sorted, and I love the hydration system compatibility; it makes staying hydrated on the trail so much easier. The adjustable straps fit comfortably, even when the pack is loaded up, which is a big plus for long hikes. I also appreciate the sleek design. It looks great and comes in a variety of colors, which is a nice touch. The MOLLE webbing allows me to customize it with additional pouches, which adds to its versatility. Overall, I highly recommend the Dragon Egg Mk. II. It’s a practical, stylish, and durable backpack that’s perfect for both outdoor activities and everyday use.

The backpack description is misleading. Absolutely no laptop with dimensions 15.4"-15.6" fits in the back pocket. It's physically impossible. It's a pity because I was counting on it, but no luck. Build, quality, material - all fantastic. However, the laptop compartment is much smaller than I expected.

The backpack is of very good quality. I bought it mainly because of the separate compartment for a laptop. It is located on the back, fits a laptop + tablet, and there is a fastening to keep the laptop from moving. In addition, there are many compartments, it's very spacious, capacious, and well-thought-out. Very solid handle, hip and chest straps. Side pockets with Velcro straps, and straps on the sides to "compress" the packed backpack. You can also attach various necessary equipment. The only downside, just for the record, is the weight of 1600g. You can feel it, but on the other hand, the perforation on the back (for ventilation), solid handle, and build quality make it justified—it just has to be this way.

Hello! For now, I have been using the backpack for a few days, but I am already getting a lot of satisfaction from it. I really like it, especially in the Shadow Grey color; it looks stylish. Despite being a tactical backpack, its appearance is neither aggressive nor intimidating. Many pockets allow you to organize your items as conveniently as possible. Strong, good zippers, flexible side pockets – that's excellent. A laptop fits inside. A 1L Nalgene bottle easily fits into the side pockets. And the cherry on top is the paracord handle. Thank you to the store for the fast shipping. I am very satisfied.

A fantastic backpack. The materials and workmanship are truly premium. I tested it especially during my round-trip tour to Japan. It worked brilliantly during a 15-hour flight, where I appreciated the number of small pockets and compartments for little things and accessories. Likewise, during the trip, I always had everything at hand and well-organized. The backpack has a very cool designer look and stands out from those you see on the street every day. I recommend it to people with a military bent (because it looks that way) but also to those who value functionality and solid workmanship. I am sure it will serve well for many years. My rating: 10/10. Highly recommended!

I use it as EDC and for short trips to the forest. The backpack is of the highest quality. I chose this model because of the straps, which allow you to attach, for example, a tent under the backpack. The backpack isn't large but is very spacious.
-
The best backpack I've ever had the chance to wear on my back, the material is super strong, at first glance you can immediately see the top quality. I can recommend it to everyone! Worth its price.
-
I give five stars because the backpack is nice, very durable, and has lots of pockets but… unfortunately, there are also downsides. The shoulder straps rub against your arms, which is not pleasant, especially after a while. The backpack also seems big because it looks big and is actually heavy, but it doesn't hold as much stuff as you’d expect.

Yeah, bought this bag, and shipment took about 10-11 days. It has nice quality and nice design. Also I didn't pay any taxes. The bag has color much darker than shown in picture =) But it is OK =)
