The pack utilizes robust 500D Cordura in its construction. Renowned for exceptional resistance to abrasion and tearing, this material greatly enhances the longevity of the backpack when used in demanding outdoor environments.
The Sparrow II model is equipped with two large compartments. The primary compartment features four D-rings stitched to the back panel for attaching various accessories. The secondary compartment is designed with a modernized organizer to keep smaller gear sorted efficiently. Mesh pockets inside the main compartment can be securely closed with zippers. The top flap contains a flat pocket matching the size of the main compartment and approximately 5 cm in depth, ideal for carrying maps, documents, or a compact laptop. An additional small pocket is located on the front side of the flap.
Internally, the pack includes a hydration bladder hanger, a drinking tube port, and two loops (positioned on each shoulder strap) to firmly hold the tube in place.
A two-way zipper closure runs along three sides of the flap on the backpack, providing wide access to both the main and secondary compartments. All zippers are durable, abrasion-resistant, and feature textile pulls to facilitate use with gloves or in demanding environments. The main compartments and front pocket zippers are shielded by cover flaps to help prevent the intrusion of water and debris.
The innovative AFS - Air Flow System carrying system provides optimal structural stability, outstanding carrying comfort, and efficient back ventilation. Additional comfort is delivered through ergonomic shoulder straps featuring quick-release mechanisms and adjustable lengths, alongside a supportive chest and waist belt. The interior of the straps is lined with a dense, snag-resistant fabric. A dedicated tunnel on the back accommodates a compatible fiberglass frame (sold separately).
On either side, two adjustable straps with 30 mm fastex buckles enable reliable compression and secure attachment of equipment such as jackets, tarps, sleeping pads, or camouflage nets. Positioned above the main compartment, a robust, elongated transport handle ensures convenient carrying.
MOLLE/PALS webbing is integrated on the front, bottom, and sides, offering attachment points for extra equipment or for carrying essential items needed in emergencies.
A front-mounted velcro panel provides the option to affix patches or emblems, such as a national flag, unit badge, or morale patches.
