Previously, the first-generation Sparrow 30 has been with me for over 12 years; when the zipper stopped working, I squeezed it with pliers and it has been working for another 2 years already. The 40-litre successor does not fall short in quality; there are very well-thought-out new features in this model. Mine already has built-in straps at the top, which surprised me because they are not visible in any photo on the Internet; Wisport modifies its products quietly. It is only a pity that they did not include a flag patch in the set; it would have been a very nice touch on a backpack made in Poland.

I recently ordered it; for me it’s perfect. Compared with earlier models, this one already has pull straps sewn into the upper part of the backpack so it can be tightened at the top to the shoulder straps. You can see that Wisport listens to its customers.

An excellent backpack. The workmanship is of a very high standard. Cordura 500 is durable while also being less abrasive to other fabrics than the 1000 version. Before buying it, I hesitated for a long time (in the end I received it as a gift from my wife), because the only missing feature was the compression straps, whose absence had been pointed out by many users in the reviews I had read earlier. My surprise was all the greater when, after receiving the backpack, it turned out that the manufacturer had just added them. Thanks to this, the model is now fully refined and ready for intensive use. I plan to use it both on trails and while traveling as carry-on luggage, because its size is perfect for that purpose. I fully agree with the earlier positive reviews regarding the quality of the materials and the care taken in the finishing. The backpack weighs about 2 kg, so it is not one of the lightest, but what I wanted was something truly solid. The rear pocket against the back, intended for a hydration bladder and equipped with a removable vertical aluminum rod that stiffens the back panel, easily fits a 15-inch laptop. The pocket does not have separate padding, but it makes use of the foam in the outer back panel. It should be remembered, however, that this is not a backpack designed specifically for carrying a laptop. A very successful purchase, or rather a gift in my case. Finally, a small suggestion for the Military store: if version 2.0 with compression straps is indeed a new iteration of this backpack, it would be good to update the description and photos. I am convinced that such information would dispel the doubts of many potential buyers.

After a longer period of use, I have formed an opinion about this backpack – I have been using it for a long time and it is already the third product from Wisport that I own. The quality of workmanship and durability are at a very high level. Backpacks from this brand are durable, made from solid materials, and the zippers are very sturdy. I find the olive color particularly attractive. Wearing the backpack is comfortable, although the ventilation could be better. The straps are comfortable, and I usually don't use the hip belt because I personally don't need it – even so, the backpack is still comfortable to wear. Thanks to its large capacity, you can fit quite a bit of equipment inside. The only element I really dislike, and which can even be dangerous for people using the backpack in the field – is the space between the top of the backpack and the straps. In dense forests or thickets, it is very easy to snag on branches there, which has happened to me many times. It's worth keeping this in mind when heading into wooded areas. I can't understand why such a solution was used. In summary, I am satisfied with this backpack – it serves me excellently, and I believe it will last for many more years. I will definitely buy my next backpack from Wisport as well.

It is excellent for organizing items, easily fits a laptop and tablet, and still leaves plenty of free space inside. It looks professional and, thanks to Cordura, is exceptionally resistant to damage. A practical urban backpack with a comfortable design. Made of durable materials and high-quality fittings. The main compartment is spacious. The pocket at the back allows you to carry a 14-inch laptop. Inside there is a mesh organizer that can hold many things. I am very satisfied with the purchase of this backpack.

Very good backpack, I’ve taken it on several hikes. It’s comfortable to carry equipment in it (surprisingly so for a knapsack). Once the hip belt is detached, it’s a great alternative to a cabin suitcase (same dimensions). I always travel with it by plane, and it works perfectly. The materials it’s made of are excellent, I’ve had it for over a year and it still looks brand new. The pocket sewn at the top of the backpack is very functional, you can easily store headphones, gloves, or glasses there, it’s not obvious and gives quick access to the most necessary things. The backpack really only has one flaw. It’s been mentioned by other users before – the lack of straps to tighten the harnesses to the top of the backpack, which causes the upper part to stick out when fully loaded, and it doesn’t look good. I’m surprised the Wisport designers released it in this state. It irritated me a lot, so I decided to fix it myself, and I did so successfully! At this price and for this class of equipment, it really shouldn’t be necessary to do it yourself... I’m adding photos to the review for other users and the Wisport designers—it would be nice to add such a feature to these backpacks and offer an aftermarket modification to those who trusted the brand and bought it believing someone had thought it through, which wasn’t entirely the case this time. (My update was carried out using original Wisport parts – I just had to modify the buckles mounted on the straps, so as not to cut the straps sewn onto them)

There is no such thing as perfection. But this backpack is close to it. What do I miss? In the first large pocket, a velcro panel for attaching organizers. The side pockets for canteens could be deeper, because typical NATO bottles slip out and can fall. That's all my comments. On the plus side - capacity, regular shape, comfortable carrying system, the zippers don't jam and work smoothly, solid thick material, color (but that's a matter of taste). For me, it serves as a backup backpack for car trips. It nicely fits a booster/power pack, first aid kit, tarp, set for boiling water, several packs of freeze-dried food, coffee, tea, mugs, multitool, hatchet, knife, large gomboy, blanket, small stuff and... it's still not full :) And that's exactly what I wanted!!!

The backpack is not cheap but absolutely worth its price. Very spacious and exceptionally roomy. The straps are strong, durable, and comfortable. The solid zippers move smoothly. Additionally, a big plus for the rain cover included with the backpack.

I've had it for a while now, so I've had some time to test it out. I really like its spaciousness, the extra pockets, and of course the included cover. Maybe the pack is big, but those 40 liters really make a difference and let you stuff in quite a lot of gear. The side pockets with compression straps are awesome—an AR stock fits there just fine.

The backpack is made of great, top-quality materials—everything is at a world-class level like 5.11, Oakley, Mystery Ranch, etc. The stitching is excellent, the AFS carrying system is very comfortable, and inside there's a good division of compartments; the number of mesh pockets is spot-on. However, in my opinion, the backpack was overdesigned in some aspects. First: the lack of MOLLE on the front and replacing the MOLLE with two straps is a mistake. Second: the upper attachment of the shoulder straps is lower than usual, which makes the backpack stick out with no way to adjust it. Third: side pockets are not useful, a 1-liter Camelbak bottle just falls out—unless these pockets are meant for something else. Additionally, the side MOLLE straps have too few rows. And finally, the cover strips for the zippers are poorly designed; they don't return to the closed position and often get caught on the zippers. So, unfortunately, after some thought, I returned it and am still looking for a 40-liter backpack.

Good backpack. Well-thought-out design. According to the manufacturer's data, it weighs almost 2 kilos when empty. I don't feel that. I think it's quite light for its size. Together with the backpack, you get a rain cover. The cover is hidden in a pocket at the bottom of the backpack. The rain cover is a big plus. The backpack itself is solidly made. I recommend it—it's worth buying. I recommend it.
