The 65-liter military backpack, designed by Wisport, a company based in Wrocław, was created in collaboration with the commandos from the Special Commandos Unit (formerly known as the 1st Special Commando Regiment) in Lubliniec. Drawing from the proven design of Racoon series backpacks available in both 45 and 65 liters, the model offers a balanced solution between load capacity, overall weight, and user mobility. Crafted from robust 1000D Cordura in a Black finish, the backpack provides a spacious interior, exceptional durability, and a high level of carrying comfort.
Constructed from abrasion-resistant 1000D Cordura and further strengthened with bar-tacked seams, the backpack offers outstanding protection against mechanical damage, including abrasions and tears. Such rugged materials and reinforcements greatly enhance the durability of the pack in demanding field environments.
The 65-liter main compartment is designed to be split into two sections – the upper section (about 2/3) and the lower section (about 1/3). An internal drawstring collar secures contents, maintaining load stability. The compartment can be accessed from the top, front, and bottom through a removable base, making unpacking considerably easier. The lower section, positioned against the back, features a flat pocket optimized for securely carrying a radio. Situated above, there is a hydration system mounting point and a dedicated port for tubing or an antenna. A water-resistant design protects the port from moisture ingress.
Dedicated pockets for maps and documents as well as hydration tube holders on the shoulder straps add to the backpack’s overall versatility. The top lid can be detached and adjusted and is outfitted with two zippered compartments. The front side sports a velcro panel for patch customization. Altogether, seven differently designed pockets allow for efficient gear organization and immediate access to essential items.
The front section includes a tall pocket with dual-sided MOLLE webbing, allowing it to function as an organizer. Two detachable side pockets, each with a 9-liter capacity, supplement the main pack. A rain cover is concealed in a Velcro-fastened compartment at the bottom, while helmet straps are stowed in a small pocket above the bottom entry to the main compartment. Side transport handles and metal D-rings facilitate straightforward attachment to vehicles or ropes, further boosting the pack’s practicality.
Equipped with an aluminum frame and an adjustable FAS Plus Ergonomic carrying system, the backpack is optimized for long-term, comfortable transportation of heavy loads. This design guarantees secure contact with the back and provides effective alleviation for the spine and shoulders. Dual-plane adjustability enables precise customization to match the user’s height and physique. Ergonomically contoured shoulder straps, along with a broad hip belt and a chest strap, enhance load distribution, minimizing walking fatigue. Reinforced elements combined with the integrated frame preserve the optimal shape of the backpack, even when fully packed. Enhanced airflow is achieved through a ventilated back panel, which limits perspiration. The carrying system is engineered to endure intensive use under demanding field conditions. For added versatility, the hip belt is removable, while fastex quick-release buckles on the shoulder straps enable rapid backpack removal.
Outfitted with ITW Nexus and Duraflex buckles that are certified, along with robust Wisport zippers for enhanced durability.
Equipped with MOLLE/PALS system straps on the front, sides, and lid, the backpack accommodates the attachment of extra equipment. A system of straps and compression straps facilitates the external mounting of gear and secures the backpack’s contents by providing internal stabilization.
