The 65-liter military backpack, designed by the Wrocław-based manufacturer Wisport in collaboration with the commandos from the Special Commandos Unit (formerly known as the 1st Special Commando Regiment) in Lubliniec, represents a blend of practicality and mobility. Drawing inspiration from the acclaimed Racoon backpack line with 45 and 65-liter options, the pack achieves an optimal balance between load capacity, weight, and user agility. Crafted from highly durable 500D Cordura in MultiCam Tropic pattern, the backpack offers a combination of spaciousness, functional features, and comfortable carry for demanding missions.
Constructed from abrasion-resistant 500D Cordura, the backpack features enhanced durability thanks to bar-tacked seams. Highly resistant to mechanical stress such as abrasions and tears, the material ensures the backpack’s ruggedness is maintained during demanding field use.
The main compartment offers a 65-liter capacity and can be split into two sections – the upper (about 2/3 of the space) and the lower (around 1/3). An internal drawstring collar secures contents, preventing shifting and stabilizing the load during movement. The compartment is accessible from the top, front, and bottom via a removable lower section, making unpacking considerably easier. A flat pocket located at the lower back side ensures safe transport of a radio. Positioned above it, a mounting point for a hydration bladder and a specially designed port for a drinking tube or antenna provide additional utility. The port is sealed to block water from entering the pack.
Organization is enhanced by extra pockets designed for documents and maps, while hydration tube holders on the shoulder straps boost practicality. The removable, height-adjustable top lid comes equipped with two zippered compartments, and the front is fitted with a velcro area for attaching identification or decorative patches. In total, seven different pocket types help streamline gear organization and enable fast access to essentials.
A long front pocket, featuring double-sided MOLLE webbing, is tailored for use as an organizer. Added versatility comes from two detachable 9-liter side pockets. A rain cover is stashed in a Velcro-secured pocket at the base, while helmet retention straps are stored in a compact compartment above the zipper providing bottom access to the main section. Side-mounted transport handles and sturdy metal D-rings for tethering to ropes or vehicles further expand the set’s operational capability.
Equipped with a durable aluminum frame and an adjustable FAS Plus Ergonomic carrying system, the backpack is engineered to deliver lasting comfort even with heavy loads. The design guarantees secure contact with the back and efficient pressure relief for the spine and shoulders. Adjustment in two planes enables precise customization to the wearer’s height and body build. Ergonomically contoured shoulder straps, a wide hip belt, and a chest strap ensure optimal weight distribution, minimizing walking fatigue. Reinforced elements and the framework help preserve the backpack’s structure when fully packed. A ventilated back section enhances airflow and lessens perspiration. The carrying system withstands rigorous use in demanding field environments. The hip belt is removable, while fastex quick-release buckles on the shoulder straps offer rapid pack removal in urgent situations.
Outfitted with ITW Nexus and Duraflex certified buckles as well as robust Wisport zippers.
Outfitted with MOLLE/PALS system straps on the front, sides, and lid, this pack facilitates the attachment of additional gear. An integrated strap and compression strap system allows for external gear mounting while keeping the backpack’s contents secure and stabilized.
