Za-Pas Biwi BW10 G10 Satin Fixed Blade Knife - Black

Equipped with a full-tang design, this knife boasts a fixed drop-point blade crafted from high-quality, corrosion-resistant 1.4116S stainless steel. The robust construction and streamlined profile ensure reliable performance for diverse applications, ranging from daily tasks to demanding outdoor adventures and field operations.

hardened 1.4116S stainless steel

Forged from premium 1.4116S stainless steel, the knife blade boasts a hardened structure with a 59-61 HRC rating. The selected steel ensures excellent corrosion resistance. Finished using the satin technique, the blade achieves a distinctive semi-matte appearance.

Drop-point blade, flat grind, proper balance

Equipped with a blade featuring a Drop-Point profile, a plain edge, and a length of 100 mm, this model stands out with its flat grind finish. A single-sided cross guard enhances both safety and stability throughout operation.

An optimal balance of the blade allows for improved command over the knife. With weight distributed evenly between the blade and handle, users benefit from greater cutting accuracy and diminished hand fatigue during extended periods of use.

Handle scales made from durable G10 laminate

Featuring an ergonomic design, the handle is crafted from G10 laminate in a black finish. Highly resistant to moisture, temperature fluctuations, and the majority of solvents and acids, this material also offers exceptional durability against mechanical impact. The textured surface of the handle scales provides a reliable and secure grip during knife operation. A lanyard hole is integrated at the end of the handle for convenient attachment.

Sheath included

A rigid sheath crafted from lightweight yet robust Kydex ensures easy and secure belt carry of the knife. Multiple mounting holes are strategically positioned, enabling compatibility with Tek-Lok type mounts.

1.4116S feature
1.4116S
1.4116S (commercial equivalent of 14C28N steel) is a stainless steel with good hardness and corrosion resistance, belonging to the martensitic steel group. It contains approximately 0.45-0.55% carbon, which gives it a hardness of 55-58 HRC after appropriate heat treatment, as well as relatively good abrasion resistance. The chromium content of 14-15% ensures very good resistance to rust and oxidation. Additionally, it contains manganese (0.6%), silicon (0.2%) and a small amount of phosphorus and sulfur. 1.4116S is valued for its ease of sharpening and maintenance, as well as for its relatively good balance between hardness, corrosion resistance, and edge durability, making it suitable for the production of medium-hardness knives, kitchen knives, and tools.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
