Breathable TrekDry form-fitting material, touchscreen support

The upper portion of the gloves is constructed from lightweight, breathable form-fitting TrekDry fabric, effectively minimizing hand sweat during use. A robust synthetic leather is utilized in the grip area, delivering reliable hold and tactile feedback, while enabling seamless operation of touchscreen devices without the need to remove the gloves. Additional reinforcement is applied to the thumb and index finger with an extra layer of material.

Cuff with ribbing

A broad cuff combined with a elastic band offers enhanced protection and guarantees a secure fit around the wrist. The generously sized entry opening allows for effortless putting on of the glove.

Protection standard EN388-2121X

The gloves comply with the protective standard EN388-2121X for mechanical resistance, which includes:

  • 2: resistance to abrasion (scale 0-4)
  • 1: resistance to cutting (scale 0-5)
  • 2: resistance to tearing (scale 0-4)
  • 1: resistance to puncturing (scale 0-4)
  • X: cut resistance – TDM method (ISO 13997) (scale A-F)

According to EN388, the assigned values indicate the glove's protection level: a value of 0 means no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) represent maximum resistance.

For TDM (ISO 13997) testing, the scale uses letters, where A represents the lowest protection and F the highest level.

The X mark indicates that the specific parameter was either not tested or does not apply.

Synthetic leather inside, and breathable material on top—ideal for summer. Well-fitted, but compared to wider models like M-Pact or Original, if you have a bigger hand, I recommend considering a larger size.

    Light gloves, just right for summer, ideal for shooting. For heavier work, e.g. with rough wood, they are only moderately suitable, as the material wears through quickly. They fit well; if you are unsure about the size, I recommend choosing the larger one, at least in the case of the Fastfit model.

    In my opinion, this glove model performs very well during outdoor activities. I use them both on shorter trips and on multi-day mountain expeditions, especially in demanding terrain where a fall could result in a hand injury. They also provide good protection when working with rope, firewood, or stones. They offer moderate protection from the cold, and at the same time in summer they do not cause excessive hand sweating. The Mechanix brand has a reputation for solid quality, and these gloves confirm that. The material on the inner side of the hand and fingers provides a good grip and allows the use of touchscreens. They are light, flexible, and compact enough to fit easily into almost any pocket. The elastic cuff holds them well on the wrist, although personally I would prefer a hook-and-loop closure, which would provide better adjustment. An additional loop allows them to be attached to a carabiner or hung on a hook. At the promotional price of €9.30, I believe this is an exceptionally good-value purchase. As for sizing, I normally wear size 9 in work and utility gloves; here I chose size XL and it fits well, although it is slightly snug.
