Mechanix Wear FastFit Core 3 Tactical Gloves - Brown

Versatile, durable gloves designed to provide basic mechanical protection. Thanks to their snug fit, they ensure full grip control and do not hinder precise movements. They are ideal for law enforcement officers, military personnel, and shooting sports enthusiasts, as well as for survival expeditions, auto repair work, DIY projects, and airsoft games.

Breathable CoolPlus fabric, Rip-Stop weave, touchscreen compatibility, Lock Ring technology

The gloves feature an upper portion crafted from breathable, lightweight CoolPlus fabric, minimizing hand perspiration and providing excellent ventilation. Rip-Stop material reinforces the back of the fingers, effectively preventing tearing and fraying even if the fabric sustains localized damage, while also delivering enhanced resistance to abrasion. The grip zone incorporates robust 0.6 mm synthetic leather, delivering a secure grip and high level of control, and enabling convenient use of touchscreen devices without the need to remove the gloves. A protective Lock Ring panel reinforces the vulnerable area around the thumb, boosting structural durability and helping to reduce seam wear.

stretch-elastic cuff, 2-piece palm construction

An expansive stretch-elastic cuff delivers enhanced protection and maintains a secure fit around the wrist. An extra-wide opening allows for easy donning of the gloves. The two-piece inner palm design minimizes curling and bunching, resulting in a superior fit. Additionally, the lower palm is equipped with ventilated padding to promote airflow and shield against impact injuries.

norm: ANSI/ISEA 105-3XX and EN388-2121X

The gloves comply with the American safety standard ANSI/ISEA 105 at level 3XX for cut, abrasion, and puncture resistance, signifying:

  • 3: abrasion resistance (rated from 1 to 6)
  • X: cut resistance (rated from A1 to A9)
  • X: puncture resistance (rated from 0 to 5)

The gloves achieve the EN388 standard at level 2121X, ensuring defense against mechanical hazards, which stands for:

  • 2: abrasion resistance (scale of 0–4)
  • 1: cut resistance (scale of 0–5)
  • 2: tear resistance (scale of 0–4)
  • 1: puncture resistance (scale of 0–4)
  • X: cut resistance – TDM test (ISO 13997) (scale from A–F)

Under the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard, abrasion resistance is measured on a scale from 1 to 6, indicating the number of cycles a material withstands before wearing through. Cut resistance is specified from A1 to A9, ranking from lowest to highest protection. Puncture resistance ranges from 0 to 5, reflecting the force needed to puncture the surface with a pointed probe (excluding needle punctures).

Values defined in the EN388 standard indicate the glove's protection level: a rating of 0 means no protection, while the highest values (4, 5) indicate maximum resistance.

Letter codes are employed in TDM testing (ISO 13997), where A designates the minimum level of protection, and F represents the maximum.

The X notation signifies a parameter was either not tested or does not apply.

Rip-Stop

Rip-Stop weave protects the fabric from abrasions and tears. It is characterized by additional threads woven in at regular intervals, forming a mesh-like pattern. It provides high strength to the fabric, increases resistance to mechanical damage, especially tears.

CoolPlus feature
CoolPlus
CoolPlus is a technology used in gloves designed for high-temperature work. It involves the use of breathable mesh fabric that effectively wicks away heat and moisture. It provides better ventilation and increases wearing comfort during intense exertion. This solution works well in environments with higher temperatures and humidity.
Lock Ring feature
Lock Ring
Lock Ring is a technology that reinforces the thumb area of the gloves through a welded panel without seams. It increases resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. Elimination of seams reduces the risk of tearing in sensitive areas. As a result, the gloves are more durable and perform better in harsh working conditions.

Review summary

Automatically prepared based on reviews

Mechanix FastFit gloves receive very positive feedback for comfort, low weight, and quick on-off use thanks to the elastic cuff. Users praise the close fit, secure grip, good dexterity, and touchscreen compatibility, which makes them suitable for shooting, outdoor activities, bushcraft, cycling, dog walks, and light work around the house or workshop. Many buyers also highlight the strong value for money, especially at sale prices. However, these gloves work best for lighter tasks: during heavy-duty use they may wear through faster or develop seam issues. Water resistance and heat resistance are also weak points, as the material absorbs moisture quickly and does not protect well against fire or sparks. Some reviews also note that sizing needs attention because the cut is fairly snug and individual pairs may vary slightly.

The gloves are light, flexible, and do not feel like heavy protective gear, so they work well during outdoor activities. The flexible cuff keeps the glove securely on the wrist, and the synthetic leather on the palm provides a firm grip; using a touchscreen phone is also hassle-free. I recommend fitting the size at a physical store.

In the segment of tactical gloves and similar products, FastFif by Mechanix is a classic of the genre. No unnecessary protectors—just gloves. Synthetic leather inside, and breathable material on top—ideal for summer. Well-fitted, but compared to wider models like M-Pact or Original, if you have a bigger hand, I recommend considering a larger size.

They fit very well, are comfortable, and are of good quality. You can use a smartphone without taking them off your hands. So far they are working well; we’ll see in a few months.

The gloves are comfortable and easy to put on and take off, but unfortunately the material on the fingers wears out quite quickly. Overall, the quality is adequate for the price.

The gloves are good for trips and ASG skirmishes. I would also say they have good hand ventilation. They are made of good materials for this price; I highly recommend them!

Great gloves! The leather provides excellent grip and durability, and the FastFit design allows for quick and easy putting on. They are very comfortable, fit perfectly, and do not limit feel. A perfect choice!

Excellent for this price; we'll see how they stand the test of time and whether I lose them right away like most gloves. A big plus is also the comfort, because they fit the hand great.

Light gloves, just right for summer, ideal for shooting. For heavier work, e.g. with rough wood, they are only moderately suitable, as the material wears through quickly. They fit well; if you are unsure about the size, I recommend choosing the larger one, at least in the case of the Fastfit model.

Good gloves; with the right size chosen, you can forget you’re even wearing them. Compared to the M-Pact line, they are much more comfortable to use for ordinary tasks.

Basic gloves at a good sale price. Compared to the older version of this model that I use, these are more comfortable, but I liked the older version more visually.

In my opinion, this glove model performs very well during outdoor activities. I use them both on shorter trips and on multi-day mountain expeditions, especially in demanding terrain where a fall could result in a hand injury. They also provide good protection when working with rope, firewood, or stones. They offer moderate protection from the cold, and at the same time in summer they do not cause excessive hand sweating. The Mechanix brand has a reputation for solid quality, and these gloves confirm that. The material on the inner side of the hand and fingers provides a good grip and allows the use of touchscreens. They are light, flexible, and compact enough to fit easily into almost any pocket. The elastic cuff holds them well on the wrist, although personally I would prefer a hook-and-loop closure, which would provide better adjustment. An additional loop allows them to be attached to a carabiner or hung on a hook. At the promotional price of €9.30, I believe this is an exceptionally good-value purchase. As for sizing, I normally wear size 9 in work and utility gloves; here I chose size XL and it fits well, although it is slightly snug.

Great gloves! Very comfortable and well-fitted, although you need to choose the right size, preferably from several pairs, because they may differ slightly. They work with touchscreens without any problem.

We were looking for gloves in a color matching Multicam Black clothing and gear. Since we already have several pairs of Mechanix gloves, the decision was a natural one. The size turned out to be right, and they remained comfortable to wear even during very hot weather.

I bought Mechanix Wear FastFit tactical gloves in the MultiCam version. They are comfortable and functional. I am considering buying a second pair in a different color because I am very satisfied with them. The shipment arrived within 5 days. I definitely recommend this product.

Basic Mechanix gloves, great for all kinds of hard work at the shooting range and in the field. One thing to keep in mind is that they absorb water like crazy, and any wet surface destroys them in a fraction of a second.
