Barley and lentil risotto provides a satisfying and hearty option for those who appreciate robust and flavorful meals. As with every LYOFOOD dish, preparation is exceptionally fast and straightforward.

Freeze-drying

Freeze-drying is a process of vacuum dehydration of food products at very low temperatures (-50 deg. C). Thanks to the use of special production technology, freeze-dried food is a wholesome, full-calorie meal, complete in every respect, while meeting the high demands of various extreme sports such as climbing, high-mountain trekking, sailing, and qualified tourism in both summer and winter. It is used by polar explorers, travelers, competitive athletes, on various expeditions and at camps.

A robust combination of red bell pepper 41%, green lentils 14%, hulled barley groats 12%, leek, avocado 5%, pumpkin seeds, lemon juice, parsley, olive oil, salt, select spices, and aromatic herbs.

    A tasty meal. In the field, something like this definitely boosts morale. It doesn’t taste artificial at all; it’s really good. Especially for soups, but also for other dishes, I recommend not overdoing the amount of water. It’s better to add more if it turns out too thick than to pour in too much from the start. For me, the only downside is the fairly high price.

    Good, and more importantly a somewhat more caloric meal from Lyo’s range. True, I’ve been using it so far in summer, but I think such a hearty portion will be perfect in winter. Lyo’s quality, as always, is second to none. The only downside is the price, but unfortunately the freeze-drying process is not cheap. The field version, so tacticool 100%!
