Freeze-drying

Freeze-drying is a method of dehydrating food under vacuum conditions and at a very low temperature (-50 deg C). Thanks to this technology, the product retains its full nutritional value and calorie content, providing a balanced meal suitable for demanding forms of activity. It works very well during high-mountain expeditions, sailing trips, winter and summer tourism, as well as in extreme conditions.     A tasty meal. In the field, something like this definitely boosts morale. It doesn’t taste artificial at all; it’s really good. Especially for soups, but also for other dishes, I recommend not overdoing the amount of water. It’s better to add more if it turns out too thick than to pour in too much from the start. For me, the only downside is the fairly high price.
