After two weeks of carrying it, the action has reached such a level that during opening it can compete with bearing-based knives. After releasing the lock, you can close it by shaking the knife, although it is more difficult here. A big downside is the slippery scales. While pulling the knife out of my pocket, it almost slipped out of my hand several times—the clip holds really tightly. The scales are so slick that with dry hands I always get the impression that the handle is slightly greasy. Other than that, as an EDC it is a fantastic choice. Light, slim, with a great opening snap.

An ideal EDC knife. Slim, lightweight. A solid, stiff clip that is unlikely to get bent through carelessness. Despite the thin blade, it feels very sturdy. Well centered. The scales have light texturing and are rather slippery. They should not wear out your pants. Right out of the box, the knife is stiff. After one day, it develops good action, which indicates that using bearings is not necessary. Both washers are metal (not Teflon/plastic), which makes it comfortable to use in environments where bearing-equipped knives are unsuitable — the beach, etc. For me, this model is better than the large RAT, which as a folding knife is greatly oversized — impractical and uncomfortable as an EDC. I’m taking off one star for the quality of the blade coating. Opening a dozen or so pistachios was enough for the tip to get worn. Maybe it adds character, but Ontario could probably start using a more serious coating. The competition shows that it can be done without causing a drastic increase in price.

Perfect for a suit when you need discretion. In that case, rat 1 won't work, but rat 2 with its dimensions is perfect for me. I honestly recommend it more.

Probably everything about this little rat has already been written. The classic speaks for itself. I am one of those people who will always appreciate it for the quality-to-price ratio. For me, it's yet another Rat in the pack :)

Smaller and lighter, lacks a thumb stud. The difference is that here they used D2 steel, which in my opinion is better than the AUS8 used in the older model. D2 holds sharpness better.

I have been using it for some time and I am very satisfied. In addition to its great appearance, the quality leaves nothing to be desired. It arrived as sharp as a razor. The size is perfect for EDC. It's so light you don't feel it in your pocket at all.

Nice small folder for EDC. Also, great D2 steel is used here instead of the rather weak AUS8 found in cheaper models. The knife is truly worth recommending.

I have the green version, great folder - smaller than its bigger brother, so it's more convenient for daily pocket carry. As for build and quality, there isn't much to say, Ontario has gotten us used to top quality.

The cult model with excellent D2 steel. Very well made. The knife is extremely useful and perfect for EDC. I recommend it to everyone; it fits perfectly in the pocket. I like it a lot.

Great knife. Very good steel compared to the cheaper model. Very nice handle, unique among other knives. Overall, the quality is great, I highly recommend it.
